Self Promotion

We've stolen a basic principle from the Dan Dakich show here at the Bous Theory: Self promotion.

With a snow storm postponing Pike's game from Friday night to last night, I got the opportunity to do play-by-play for the game. It's the 4th time that I've done play-by-play, but just the 2nd time that I did it without the aid of a color commentator. My good friend, Bruce, helped with the commentating last season when Dan couldn't make the game, but with short notice on a Monday game, I ventured into the world of talking to myself for an hour and a half. Trust me, I have had plenty of practice with this, as I've been holding self press conferences for about twenty years.

As a youngster, I used to spend snow days at the YMCA. Now, I just shamelessly plug my work in an effort to get paid for these skills (said in jest, of course!)

With the Colts loss on Sunday, I'm now fully invested in basketball season. Butler, New Castle, and Pike all won on Monday setting up what should be a great winter. I've yet to hear back from Medley if our church league team won last night, but if we did, it was a perfect Monday. Of course, if they didn't, I will gladly boast that it was due to my absence.
