The Bous Theory

What is the Bous Theory? It's a pretty simple theory created in the fall of 2002. I came up with the theory while living with Freddy P. and Tre Styles in the luxury Sterling University Apartments. A mere 10 miles from any relevant or related to Indiana University. Anyway, it's a basic theory dealing with girls, and easily separates friends from prospects.

Bous is a nickname that I've had since my days at NC. It's easy, it sticks, and it rhymes with Mouse. I never introduce myself as Bous, especially to girls, but when you're introduced as that, obviously that's what you end up going by. There were numerous people on my dorm floor, including people I would call friends, that would struggle if you asked for my first name.

Anyway, I used to hang out with a couple of girls (friends) from high school occasionally. Luckily for me, they also had 3 very attractive roommates, which always made it fun to visit their home. I labled the roommates as prospects and honestly thought for a few months that I stood a chance. Okay, I know what you're thinking; if I didn't land them in 2 months then I stood no chance. You're absolutely correct in your thinking, but it was my recruiting season and I was going for the blue chippers. Because I was "friends" with two of the girls, I was know throughout this house, "The Birdnest" as "Bous". After realizing I wasn't landing any blue chippers, the "Bous Theory" came into effect. Any girl that calls me Bous or Bousy or any nickname like that instantly warps a girl into "friend zone" or "friends level". It's now been proven true for five solid years. It's not necessarily a bad thing, I just know when not to waste time on recruits. It'd be like Purdue recruiting Eric Gordon. They don't even try it because there would be no results. In a world of results, you've gotta find yours. That in a nutshell is the "Bous Theory"

Enjoy your weekends and go Hoosiers! I'll be sitting in row 9 of section 29 if you're in the area.

(Editor's Note: I just set the record for usage of quotation marks in a blog. My "apologies" for that!)
